Mesker Door Inc. manufactures drywall frames from 16
gauge cold rolled steel, not 18 or 20 gauge. This unique
offering means extra strength, and insures the integrity
of interior openings. Heavier interior doors can be
specified with Mesker 16 gauge drywall frames, which can
be installed in 4 to 5 minutes. Mesker Drywall Frames
cost no more than most other lighter steel drywall
frames.
All Mesker drywall frames have an adjustable jamb
lock located at the top of each jamb. This locking
system rigidly anchors the frame in the opening, and
connects the header unit in a precisely mitered joint
using all of the main features of our standard frame
corner. As in the standard frame, all bends are clean,
and the mitered corners have the strong 4 point holding
system with offset tabs that disappear when the frame is
installed.
Corners: Clean, sharp mitered
corners provide a smooth, attractive appearance.
Lock Down Tabs: Strong four-tab
holding system in each corner provides the necessary
strength.
Anchoring: Adjustable jamb lock
for secure anchoring. Additionally, two dimpled holes at
the base of each jamb stabilize the frame at
installation.
Plaster Guards: Factory
installed plaster guards on all hinge and strike
reinforcements.
Strong Reinforcements: 14 gauge
strike reinforcements projection welded to frame. 3/16
hinge reinforcements for 1 3/4 frames.
Fast Installation: Average
installation time - 4 to 5 minutes. Large selection of
profiles from 3 5/8 to 12 3/4 in 1/8 increments.
Standard Labeling: Factory
Mutual and Underwriters Laboratories embossed labels are
standard. Warnock Hersey (WHI) Labels are also
